My name is Tara Sloan. I am the owner, operator and instructor of Aerial Elegance Academy. It all started when I had a dream/vision to open up a studio that would be fun, challenging, rewarding and especially . . . never boring! Aerial Elegance Academy offers a safe, clean, fun, positive and non-judgmental environment for adults 18+ which specialized in aerial fitness.
As of May 5, 2019, I became a Certified X-Pole Xpert Pole Instructor. Becoming Certified in Pole Dance Fitness was a goal of mine for some time. I can't wait to teach what I love!

Hello! My name is Tamara and I am an aerialists with interests in many different apparatuses but have a deep love for Lyra/Aerial hoop! I have been practicing aerial hoop for two years and have a few performances in the books with many more to come. My first class, I walked away feeling so proud of what I was able to do and want to provide that for every single person that walks in the door. I believe that all fitness levels are capable of picking up an aerial hoop. I can't wait to work with each individual to create flows and shapes that make you feel your strongest and most bad ass. Outside of aerial hobbies, I am also an avid ren faire attendee, chrocheter and cat lover. I look forward to meeting you!!!
HI!! I'm Jackie! I am born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Besides dance, I love to express myself through painting and to be outdoors. I am so excited to be creating choreography for a fun twist to learning pole! I've grown up around dance for as long as I can remember. I have been a student at " All The Way Up" in North Liberty for over a year . I think it's important to have a fun, non-judgemental environment to go to where you feel safe and are able to express yourself. Pole dancing is such a fun way to dance, gain confidence, and get a great workout in all at once. For those of you that want to add a little spice into your pole experience, this is perfect for you! Heels are also optional! I will be teaching choreographed combos and /or dances.

A variety of classes from introductory to advanced are offered. If you never have taken any pole classes before, it’s mandatory to take an introductory class before moving on to Pole 100 and so forth. No matter the level, it is a fun and all-body workout. Aerial Elegance Academy offers a very safe, clean, fun and non-judgmental environment. Another one of our goals is to empower one’s achievements. No negativity towards other students or to oneself is allowed. We want everyone to have a positive experience each and every time that they come to class.

This class will help with not just with toning but will release those "happy" endorphins. Bonus about this class is that it's small and grouped with empowered women and in non-judgement zone.
About Pole Drillz: This class is for individuals that want to focus on toning the entire body. We use the pole as the main equipment but also use other exercise tools/equipment in this class to maximize results.
It is bungee cords that are suspended from the ceiling in a studio while a harness is strapped around the waist.
This is a fun and high-intensity workout. Bungee cord exercise helps you perform lunges, squats and other maneuvers that you typically wouldn’t be able to do without the lift or bounce. With aerial and dance moves mixed together… It can be a full and fun body workout.
Classes are small, no more than students per class, so you can get more personal attention by the instructor.

As you progress in your pole dancing journey, you become more comfortable and confident in your pole dancing journey. In this class, this is where you bring your inner Goddess out and let her shine!!
Want to explore other aerial fitness options?! This class is a fun and alternative way to expand your horizons of your aerial journey.
This is a great opportunity to work on any recent moves that you learned in class or if you just want to brush up on your
technique. Note that this is not an instructed class but there will be an instructor available if needed.

Here is a few friendly reminders before you begin your session with us:
** We are an 18+ dance and fitness studio. **
1. Please remove all rings and other jewelry; including big earrings, watches or/and other loose jewelry ( small stud earrings are fine to keep on). This is for your safety! This is so that the jewelry doesn't impinge your fingers and other body parts while doing your workout. It also protects the pole , your jewelry and yourself from injury.
Smart watches can stay on for Bungee Fitness.
2. It's recommended to wash your hands before your session. This will help remove any lotions, creams and any natural oils on your hands. This will help with grip. It will also help the spread of germs, which helps reduce colds, flu and any other bugs going around.
3. * To maintain a safe and comfortable space for students to enjoy their experience, we do not allow visitors/guests to occupy/loiter in the common area of the studio.
* Please refrain from showing up more than 10 minutes prior and/or loitering after to your scheduled class. This is so students before and
after your class can get parking and etc.
* If you have inquiries about classes, the best way to contact us is by emailing, calling or messaging via FB or IG messenger. This is to secure a safe space for all whom attend.
4. PLEASE DO NOT USE CELL PHONES DURING CLASS. The only time that this is allowed is when it's permitted by the instructor.

If your appointment needs to be cancelled, it is REQUIRED that you give a no less than 24 hour notice prior to your session. Non- notification will result in forfeit of that paid session, and/or one session in package(s).

For Pole Conditioning Class
Fitness/Athletic Attire: You can wear either shorts or capris. Make sure that the capris are stretchy. So if you need to hike them up, you are able to.
Foot wear: Class is taught barefoot.
Pole Dance Fitness
Fitness/Athletic Attire: Shorts and either a tank top or t-shirt.
The more advanced that you get in pole dancing, the "less" you wear.
Why? Because when you are gripping the pole with different parts of your body, you use your skin in order to grip/hold on to the pole.
Foot wear: Class is taught barefoot. If you want to wear your favorite heels, Hell on Heels class would be the perfect class for you!
Bungee Cord Fitness
Fitness/Athletic Attire: Form -fitting yoga or capri yoga pants. Best recommended that once you take multiple lessons is to have comfortable bicycle shorts with padding. Form-fitting t-shirt or tank top. Please bring and wear comfortable clean gym shoes since bungee is an exercise class that is a full body workout.
Athletic Attire: Fitting Yoga pants/capris, or tights. NO SHORTS. Top: form fitting shirt, nothing baggy.
